If you’re searching for a rustic ceremony room in Yorkshire, Dove Barn at Clayfield Farm is a beautifully renovated space set on the edge of the stunning Yorkshire Wolds. The intimate ceremony room seats up to 90 guests, making it ideal for couples who want a relaxed yet romantic atmosphere to say their vows. Both celebrant-led ceremonies and registry office weddings can take place here, giving you complete flexibility for your special day.
Dove Barn is styled with beautiful details that make it extra photogenic, including a fairy-light curtain running the length of the back wall, statement ceiling baubles, and warm wall lighting that creates a magical glow.
Venue Room
Your Wedding Reception setting
The Venue Room, our bespoke oak-framed barn with vaulted ceilings, perfect for wedding breakfasts and evening celebrations for 20 to 90 guests. Bi-fold doors open onto a patio and garden with benches, firepits, and beautiful views over the open fields.
Inside, we provide trestle tables & chairs for your reception and plenty of room to dance the night away. The venue room also features a commercial kitchen and a staffed and fully stocked bar, ensuring seamless catering and service for your special day.
We can recommend caterers who know Clayfield Farm, or you can choose a local professional caterer yourselves.
Outdoor Space
Our outdoor space included spacious patio at the front and side of the the venue room, with beautiful topiary, bay trees, and wooden arch which create a picturesque setting and a charming backdrop for photos in the gardens.
Clayfield Farm offers car parking for all guests.
For larger weddings, we welcome marquees and tipis, providing extra space for celebrations.
The Accommodation
Clayfield Farm offers 4 self-catering Holiday Cottages and 4 Shepherd’s Huts, sleeping up to 30 guests in total. As part of your wedding package, you’ll enjoy two nights’ accommodation in The Farmhouse, 4 Shepherd’s Huts and the Honeymoon Suite in The Granary. If you’d like extra accommodation for your guests in the Martin and Hazel cottages, these would be at an additional charge.

We work with a selection of trusted caterers who know the venue well and offer a range of styles, from relaxed feasts to more formal dining. You’re also welcome to bring your own caterer, as long as they arrange a site visit with us ahead of your wedding day. We also offer a fully stocked bar run by our in-house team, keeping everything seamless on the day.

Yes, weather permitting, you can hold your ceremony in our beautiful gardens or patio area. We will provide you with a backup plan in case of inclement weather.

Absolutely! While we have a list of recommended suppliers, you are welcome to use your own.
We do recommended several caterers who have worked at the venue before, if you would like to use another caterer, please understand that they will need to have a site visit prior to your wedding.

We are delighted to accommodate music throughout your event. Our bluetooth surround sound speaker system is available to play your chosen tracks during the day.
While live musicians and DJs are welcome to enhance your celebration, please note that they are not included in our packages and must be arranged separately.
Please note the venue is in a rural area, and we adhere to specific noise restrictions with music to be off by midnight.

Yes, you may decorate the barn. We only require that candles be used in hurricane glasses, lanterns, or tealight holders.

Unfortunately, guests can not bring their own alcohol for the wedding as we have a fully equipped and stocked bar open until midnight.
If you have special requests, let us know in advance and we can arrange to have specific items available at the bar.

Yes, you are welcome to decorate the outdoor space to your liking. Please let us know your plans in advance so we can assist you. We can provide chairs and tables for your outdoor ceremony. Please let us know your requirements in advance.

Yes, we can accommodate tipi and marquee weddings at Clayfield Farm. However, please note that this is an additional cost and requires prior arrangement. We do not have our own tipis or marquees on-site. However, we can provide you with recommendations for reputable companies that specialise in tent rentals.

Charlotte and Wayne are really lovely and we were always so excited to head down to see them and discuss our wedding plans in the months prior. It was really great to have so much freedom in planning our wedding without a lot of the rules and packages that some wedding venues have, allowing us to have full control over our budget. Having the accommodation on site was also definitely a highlight for us and we enjoyed the option to celebrate with our family the night before the wedding and be able to wake up already at the venue!
