Clayfield farm is set in the middle of Sussex and run by Spike Forster and Jo Hawes.
Both Jo and spike have agricultural backgrounds. Jo growing up on a farm in shipley and spike working in the countryside for the last 12 years after 3 years at agricultural college.
Both Jo and Spike have a passion for food and in particular meat and strongly believe that people should know exactly what they are eating, where it came from and how it was reared.
Our aim is to run an ethical business. All our Pigs are Free range, our food miles are kept low as we use a local abattoir and a local cutting room. The whole process from abattoir to your door is within 10 days and we deliver to you as soon as it leaves the cutting room all packed and boxed so you couldn’t get meat fresher.

Clayfield Farm is a 14acre Plot which is home all year round to a number of breeding sows, 2 boars Tom and Tyrone, a various number of piglets, 30 chickens, Colin and Clive the Cockerels.
The sheep are only brought here for a short period during lambing so we can keep an eye on them and are then put back out on local grazing. The Geese reside here from May where they stay until they are finished in time for the Christmas market.
We are always happy to have visitors, there is nothing we like more than being able to show off our beautiful pigs and it’s particularly rewarding if we feel that someone has gone away more educated about the animals and meat production process than when they arrived. We do ask that you give us a call first so we can arrange a convenient time.
