"Our family of 6 had the best weekend at The farmhouse. Kitchen was brilliant, with everything we could have needed. Beds all very comfy... nicely decorated and lovely bathrooms and en suites. The garden was perfect, spacious, great view of the fields and sheep, all enclosed, and the Hot Tub was lovely. The walk took us about 30 min in to the village but you didn't need to leave the cottage, you could just chill. Perfect, we really would return again. Charlotte and Wayne were a pleasure to deal with too and really helpful making sure we were happy with the cottage. Thank you again. Karen & Family."

"A lovely cottage, very clean and in a beautiful location. Hosts were very helpful. Village good, struggled to book a meal in local pub however as very busy."

"We really enjoyed our time at The Farmhouse, it was super clean and very well equipped. There was a very large kitchen, a great size fridge for the number of people that can stay in the cottage, as well as lots of storage space and a great utility. However, I have marked down the equipment by 1 point purely because it took us ages to work out how the high tech oven worked, not realising until the last but one day that it was also a microwave. The coffee machine takes beans and when we finally sorted that out it was great but it is needs lots of attention (i.e. filling of water, emptying the ground coffee and excess water and removing the milk container). There is however another oven with a gas hob too. There were no manuals for the oven or coffee machine and this would have helped, we spoke with the owners who are taking this on board. You can also buy fresh eggs from the on site chickens, which were great to watch, and assist in herding the on site Turkey's back into their own area. Despite the chickens, turkeys and sheep surrounding the farm they are far enough away that you do not hear them. However, you are in the countryside and this is their home. There are two woods burners in the property but as it was summer we did not use them, but there was a basket of wood available. The house can take up to 10 people but there were not enough outside chairs available, but as the hosts are more than amenable I am sure this is something they can help with. The host lives on site and was very quick to attend a leaking sink, and nothing was too much trouble. The hosts were there to greet us and were around the farm throughout our stay and were very helpful with recommendations for places to eat. It is well situated for the Park and Ride into York, and is only 1hr 20mins in the car to the Park and Ride in Whitby. It only takes 20 minutes to walk into town for the local amenities and Pocklington has a great High Street which is well equipped with several pubs, great butchers, coffee shops and cafes. We would definitely stay here again and we were very lucky with the weather which also helps."

"Fabulous cottage - we were a family of 8 adults and 2 children and there was more than enough space for us all. Great kitchen where we spent a lot of time and the private garden and hot tub facility was fantastic! Overall a great cottage in a great location - will definitely return."

"Stayed here for 5 nights in mid September. On entry, the first impression is how spacious The Farmhouse is. Large kitchen and dinning table then, down the coridoor are two living rooms each with large screen TV. Outside there is ample space to have a BBQ or enjoy the hot tub. Freshly laid eggs are available from the chicken coup. I certainly reccomend The Farmhouse."

"The Farmhouse was an excellent staycation. It suited us perfectly. The beds were fairly soft but we still managed to get a good nights sleep. Plenty big enough for the number it sleeps. Bit tight at dinnertime round the table but we went for the week rather than just a weekend so did lots of cooking. If we'd gone for a shorter time, we'd have done less cooking. We had excellent neighbours (turkey's, chickens and sheep) and the owners were great. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and book again in the future."

"Had a lovely stay at the farmhouse with the family. Lovely house, plenty of room. There was everything in the kitchen you could possibly want. The outdoor was lovely too, especially for the children, turkeys walking around and sheep in the field . Wished we knew that there was food to buy for the animals from the start as the children loved feeding them. Will come again but hopefully in summer so we could appreciate the outdoors more."

"We had a fabulous weekend at The Farmhouse, catching up with friends. A truly beautiful and well equipped property with everything you need. Excellent welcome pack. Lovely owners and nothing was too much trouble, including providing us with plenty of wood for the cosy log burners. Feeding the hens, ducks and turkeys is great fun! The hot tub is the icing on the cake!"

"Spent a lovely Christmas at the Farmhouse, plenty of room for everyone to do their own thing when needed. Couldn't make full use of all facilities due to weather/time of year but did use hot tub. Owners very welcoming and helpful, quick to respond to difficulty with one of the ovens. Would highly recommend and very interested in further developments owners are planning to make."

"Lovely accommodation, there were 10 of us and was plenty of room so not getting on top of each other, the hot tub and turkeys were a great highlight of our weekend, not too far to walk into Pocklington and the Treasure Hunt is a must, we really enjoyed it. definitely would go again."
